I’ll have to say, this is one of the funnest shoots I’ve ever done, with some of the funnest people I know. Dancing, powdered paint, nerd glasses, dancing, rave music, and awesome cameras? Yes, please.
Welcome to awesomeness. Scientist is already one of my favorite bands, but on their new album, Soul Glow Activar remixed their song Deep Down, and I almost melted when I heard it. And when I heard they were going to film the video in my new city, I had to get in on that.
I had the opportunity to help shoot this music video for Scientist a few weeks ago. I’ve shot some of their live shows before, but this was actually their first ever real music video. The video was directed by Moses Flores. I had met him a few days before at another shoot, and he asked me to come shoot this video with him. With my new FS700, we were able to get some sick slow motion shots of the paint being thrown, while the rest was filmed primarily with a Black Magic.
Moses edited the video, and did a killer job.
