Solar Eclipse

My friend Phillip Barrington and I set up our cameras on top of West Campus Garage at Texas A&M University. We arrived around 5:00 p.m. and shot from approximately 7:40 to 8:20. Since this was my first real time lapse, and my first time to shoot in Raw, I wasn’t prepared with a 32Gb card. So I had to switch out to another 16Gb card mid-shot (which explains the 3-4 frame skip, and the slight camera bump at 0:28).

I used a Canon 7D with a kit 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, an ND filter, Satechi remote control, and Manfrotto 546B sticks. I did not doctor any of the pictures, but organized the photos in Adobe After Effects CS5, and converted the video in Premiere CS5. I own the rights to the song used (Making Choices by Rolando Marchesini)
